In Love

And one night she fell in love
it was surprising and quick
she fell in love on a wave
and it woke her up
made her feel alive again
and she was grateful
and adoring
and happier
if she could have anything in this life, it would be him
just him and nothing else

    i love poems that begin with "and" because it makes the reader feel like it's the "to be continued" of some grand story that only the writer knows... and we're lucky enough to experience a small peice of the poet's story. it's mystery wrapped in beauty.

    and this poem really does describe the way i felt when i fell in love. it seemed like it just happened "one night" in the sense that it just happened so fast without any explanation or reason. love is so unpredictable. one reason it's so beautiful AND so harsh, at times.

    I remember that. I think it was one day in November 2002. I don't rememeber telling you about it though :)

    I really like this. I hope everyone gets to feel that way at least once in their lives

    i wish i knew that feeling. love has always been a very slow build for me. anyway, enough about me. nice poem, l love the imagery of falling in love on a wave. refreshing to see a poem about falling in love in such an open way....if that makes sense. ballsy....
