I was thinking about red roses & chocolate boxes today
maybe one of those beds you might see in a cartoon
scarlet, heart-shaped and shiny
but I don't wanna mention them
for fear of being inappropriate
even though I was thinkin' of 'em
and that day is getting close
when saint Valentine may champion the citizenry
who might feel comfortable in a room
with frosted windows
soft edges and flowers with the scent of love
