Windshield games

The raindrops were racing
as I started dozing, they were
pulling my attention on the solid surface
three bigs ones blowing across the glass
leaving thick trails until
that rubber cleaner
swept 'em off
maybe a dozen tiny ones attempted next?
but the death of the water vehicles is always the same
the rubber hand of god and machine comes
to wipe them away
race, race, race, race
desperate and zagged!
swept, easily
race over
more come to try
race, race, race, sweep
do they need pity?
I'm not sure
too tired, I became merely a
hypnotized watcher of the windshield
glad not to be travelling to my own death too fast

this was fun for me read as im a truck driver.
spent many a mile behind a windshield.
    holy toledo.
arent wipers just frickin the bomb?
rain, snow or the mix of the two then just wiped away.
    write one on fog.

I am tired; my heart is
    sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight

I can imagine the unshowered partner would be almost unbearable. :/
