The easiest job

The easiest job I have
is caring for the people I love
not that it's easy
but, since I want to do it
I have an endless supply of energy
to draw on
maybe it doesn't appear that way
but I know it's true
somehow I don't run out of that material
the pantry magically refills
it's lucky
and I know it
it makes hugging and patting
and loving and listening
no problem
the easiest job I have is
refilling my heart
and it's fortunate for us all
