I need a good cushion for my head tonight
to clear out the hard edges
soften my thoughts so they flow
a bit more
maybe a bath in warm water to
return to my baby-fresh self?
I don't like feeling thick-skinned!
What about that silky pink blanket I've had forever?
I need to pull it out of the closet
and hold it close
gotta clear out the coarseness
so I can let go of what's buzzing at me
maybe there's been a big misunderstanding?
I'm gonna sleep on it,
without a rough thing nearby

    Maybe, but not really.

    It's actually more like getting a sponge wet so that more water can get into my mind. My strength as a person seems to come from my ability to absorb seemingly contradictory information and make sense/see the truth of it so that I don't need to be afraid of it.

    So, it's not so much a cutting as a re-arrangement and a making room. :)
