Parenting and loving
some parents give their children confidence
they love them and tell them what they do well
before they make suggestions for improvement
they get excited by the beauty and let the kids know
these children carry that lovely image
around with them
other parents are always focusing on what's missing
you're not moving fast enough!
can't you be neater?!
don't you see that mistake?
aren't you even trying?
maybe this approach works sometimes
but, most confident people I've seen
have parents that gave them
a lovely reflection
and
it makes me angry when I hear
parents rattling off a million complaints
when the child brought them a present
