His determination had shown her that
Love is Something, not Nothing
she f i n a l l y got that bit

He had been surprisingly unyielding
but at what cost to himself?
she didn't know, but she feared
he wouldn't forgive her
for making him work so hard
to restore her faith in love

And, more than that, it
occurred to her one late morning
that the whole circle was
a different tie & partnership
than she'd be taught

Heck, more like
systematically misinformed
by old ones
those Catholic shape-shifters
love between men and women was a whole
different animal and gift

    you just stole my thunder..

    justam, this is excellent

    honest to god, trooth

    :):):)
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

"she'd be taught" should be "she'd been taught"
