A cone-shaped hat & a wand

I can picture early scientists like
the fictional Merlin, he
must have had powders to make Magic
chemical reactions discovered
put a little of this here, it changes color
a pinch of that in something else might
fizzzzz
what about the way these crystals melt ice on contact?
he knew how to show them to their best
advantage, knew how
but that didn't mean the label of Magic
was a lie
:)
