My first step-father
was the weakest, lamest
most passive aggressive lump of a man
yeah, hardly a man
it always irritated me
and I was small!!
as I got older, I got used to
his style of helplessness
it still made me angry but
I felt sorry for him
having to lead a man
one so fearful to be a leader
supposed to be my dad
HA!!!
I can see why I hated that
people shouldn't be raised by false parents
it messes you up

Yeah, true, but it'd be a lot less confusing to be raised by the people who share your genes!

My children are so much an interesting mix of my husband and of me and it's easy to see where they got what they got...it helps them understand themselves better I think.
