we like to go walking
so my son can do the talking
he needs to have an ear
to bounce his ideas near
he wants so much to see
what he words might mean to me
my rambling, creative son
he's growing in to one
tall person these days
he wants me to listen to all that he says
examine all the flowers
read the graffiti on the towers
stop and pet some dogs
watch the chip-monks on the logs
moving down the lane
while others do the same
