I have to write a poem for English Literature

Then read it to the class! I don't write poetry! Class is Friday night 6:00 to 10:10PM, and the teacher never releases us early. I am thinking about going funny, because I can imagine writing a serious poem, and having to read it out loud. Here is what I have so far. There are abolutely no rules about legnth or style or anything - just write a poem.
Friday night 10:09, finally on my way home
Got no skill and one week to write a poem
The ideas crowd together in my mind
I try to coax them, but they think me unkind
Just as I begin to write, all thoughts cease
Those unseen remain a masterpiece
Alone in the backyard, sitting in the grass
Wondering, why did I sign up for this class?
