the unseen

the morning dew
glistens in her hair
as twilite
gives way
to daylight
rainbows form
in her locks
as the sun rises
to greet the day
silently
he watches over her
falling in love
at the sound
of her breath
her mouth forms
her dream smile
she stirs at his touch
a finger upon a lip
a tear falls
joins the dew
followed by
another
and
another
a drop
lands in the grass
a tidal wave
making it's way
down hill
until it joins the river
a single droplet
formed from emotions
in scale with the universe
reduced to something
insignificant
as it joins
this body of water
that heads off
to the sea
