opened an old letter today
memories of your smile
brought a ray of sunshine
to a cold dark afternoon
snow covered woods
frozen creeks
hot chocolate
and....
the porch troll
the warmth of our hands together
we thought our souls
would be entwined forever
silly silly kids
the feelings behind the words
have faded more then the paper they are written on
the memories linger on
i put your letter away
content with the thought
that after all these years
your smile
can still chase the clouds away........
