there was once a forest
i could call my own
a quiet place
to ponder lifes mysteries
i'd listen as the
birds and crickets
sang a song
while the wind carried
backup duties
every now and then
i'd join them
for a chorus or two
most times i'd only listen
i was at ease
i was at peace
life was good
under the trees
then came development
roads and highways
subdivisions
shopping malls
office parks
and skyscrapers
airplanes overhead
at first it was only noise
drowning out
my private songs
then expansion
uprooted the forest
that provided comfort and shade
now i sit
in parking spot
4- F
the cacophony
scatters my thoughts
weeping silent tears
i head to a bar for a beer
crying for what was lost

this city so filthy
I know what you mean. When I see a bulldozer, I want to kick it really hard with my foot but then i know that in the end it would not really hurt the bulldozer just my foot and then i would be made at myself and i would YELL OUTLOUD STUPID BULLDOZER when what i really meant i stupid me. i should have brought the corn syrup instead.
