she stood next to god and giggled
life and death
contained within their hands
that made her a god as well didnt it.....
she giggled again

later

as they made love
she would howl to the heavens

but now

she was content to giggle
as another pleaded with these gods to let her live
it made her wet
the pleas fell on deaf ears
she loved the smell of blood
it made her giggle

years removed
standing in the prison shower
she has a thought
touches herself there at the memory
of fleeting power
gunshots
burning powder
splattered blood
and the fear in the eyes
that turned into an empty gaze
oceans ebbed
sounds of her giggles
mixed with the moans of the dying

as the water flowed
she wondered
did playing god
really make her happy
or was it an illusion
existing within her head
tears mix with the shower spray

  • Heavy, unseen! So many deep, dark thoughts in that head of yours! Nice to see you around and I hope it's not too dark where you are!

    Yeah baby, Yeah!

Nice change on the title too. Too many copycats, not enough lead.
You've changed your place in this world!
