edited October 2003 in Poetry, Prose, Music & Art
the soul was eager
but his flesh was so weak,
tragedy was unfolding in his life...
something of which he didn't speak
he would keep to himself
to the habit he would retreat...
he was only a temporary resident...
living with this beast, he couldn't defeat
his soul was waning
as he felt the burning in his veins...
"this is how i choose to live" he thinks...
as he sits and feels this joyous pain
it's lurking in the shadows...
the intruder smiles an evil grin
it sits and waits patiently,
knowing it's a battle he cannot win
never wanted to admit...
he'd seen his best days pass him by
remembering all the good times he had
now he only sees them in his minds eye
we never left him...
no, we were always there
but alone he would sit
and alone he woud stare
yes, eyes opened and fixed
at the walls in his home...
they were the only thing that would
listen to him when he felt alone...
he seemed to win the battles
but he could never win the war
this evil seemed to stay with him
it was the only thing he ever adored...
his fae is so empty
and now his flesh is very weak...
the enemy has overtaken him
of his memory we can only speak

  • my soul knows what it's like
    to tie up an arm
    to inject
    bliss sponges
    that heal
    if only for a spell

and i have cried for my love
    to sit on my couch
    break out the works
    and fill me
Nosotros nunca escuchamos la voz adentro

AND my couch was made of worn brown corduroy
fills my soul like mothers milk and a boyfriends smell on your sweater.
