promised land

all my thoughts disappear
and the black dog hides his head
numb to the world as I enter
my promised land
cradled inside your color
I push away my trouble
finding comfort in your smell
my promised land
Even through the coldest winter
i warm my soul in you
stealing breath from the air inside
my promised land
I've been lost and I've been found
trapped in a grayscale world
renewing myself in your beauty
my promised land
if only i could live there
nestle in nice and deep
i wish i could grow old in
my promised land
and the black dog hides his head
numb to the world as I enter
my promised land
cradled inside your color
I push away my trouble
finding comfort in your smell
my promised land
Even through the coldest winter
i warm my soul in you
stealing breath from the air inside
my promised land
I've been lost and I've been found
trapped in a grayscale world
renewing myself in your beauty
my promised land
if only i could live there
nestle in nice and deep
i wish i could grow old in
my promised land
-one thing to remember, always have a good time, all the time

that line really caught my attention too. They say smell is the best sense at recalling memories.
i didnt know that. But thanks guys, there's usually about one or two lines per poem that i write that i absolutely love, and that was one of them.
