transient shock felled my fingertips
limp before the granular landscape
a pieslice panoramic
low resolution snapshot
of a place inside her i'd never seen
a subtle cove i'd never mused
nor wished for
nor written poetry about
as i'd done for all others
this most sacred place tucked warmly away
deeper than i’d hoped to know
cradles life so new, so pure --
may she paint all the world
with the magic her keeper once showed to me

Nice, Cran! Very nice! Good to see some fresh lines from you, my friend!
Life is full of things to inspire.
Found one last night.
especially the last two lines.
:( You always say how much you love your girl! I know you love your girl! She's a lucky girl and an awesome girl and maybe she's just a little young yet to have let go of all of her self-concious worries and doubts like that. Don't be too hard on her!
Is this amazing person really worth hurting your g/f for?
But that's it, really. She's definitely not worth hurting my g/f over, but at the same time, I just wish my g/f could understand.
I think she could... she feels similar things (as far as I can tell) for a guy friend of hers. Guess it's ok, though, since he's gay.

lovely writing, and ditto on seeing fresh stuff :)
See, the thing is, it shouldn't matter if a person is gay or straight or purple or green or male or female or a mix of the two...if you share a friendship, it shouldn't matter! And, a friendship between yourself and another female or between your gilrfriend and another male should not be a cause for stress in your relationship but, sometimes, people let their jealous nature get the best of them. It's only human.
Talk to your girl, Cran, maybe, in time, she'll understand. Or, maybe you'll just have to ask your friend to understand that your friendship is putting a strain on your relationship and you have to take a break.
A jealous nature IS human. I find however, that the way ppl express it to their mate is in being angry and/or insecure, thereby causing defensiveness, instead of just intellectually understanding it and asking the mate to do the same. I believe, that if our mates understood that "hey, it just makes me uncomforable, nothing against you, honest", then the offending opposite-gendered-friend-haver would want to quell that beast in some way.
Cran, what I see is an intellectual interest in somebody other than your current g/f, with underpinnings of other interests (thus the new poetry). My thinking in that is you should find out more about this person and just "see"... you know?
Ain't nothing wrong in that as you are but a wee babe and you would want to set yourself up with something that has staying power... maybe, shoot, maybe not who knows :):)
This girl and I had something weird going on a while back. So I already know there's nothing there to "see"... She's very securely tucked away in the "admiration and nothing more" corner of my museum.
We'll talk... me and my girl... just so I can try to set her mind at ease.
cranmal thinks to himself "now get outta here, ya bother me"
Good luck!
Never!
