"nature of me"

rise_above asked me about the song I wrote for 3 of us (me, rise, and PJWOM) over two years ago in my "board people I've known..." thread.

here it is - it's called "nature of me". it's really cheesy, but you get the point. I wrote it cause all three of us were at a crossroads with our significant others - separating, divorcing, breaking up.

i just learned
how to be me
how to dance around the house
how to live

can i make a quick recovery?
have i made a new discovery?
i know what's best for me
it took a lot of strength
to break free, to be me
it took a lot of strength...

i feel like the wind in the sky
peaceful and raging
at the same time
and i see orange lightning
flashing off in the distance
angling down so my world glows
like stars
in my eyes -
well i'm not leavin
till i got the moon there, too

can i make a quick recovery?
have i made a new discovery?
i know what's best for me
it took a lot of strength
to break free, to be me
it took a lot of strength...

is this what it feels like
to be reborn?
in this new life,
fall in love again
on my adventure
i'll cut my hair
and shed this skin
