just something off the top of my head...

"resonance"

words on a wire
she watched one whisper
carried across so much snow and static
she witnessed it drown in avalanches
and wash away in draught

you lifted her
aside from worry
apart from doubt
against your instinct
and inside your trust
you kept her safe

but then the sound was deafening
the sickness, quick
and afterwards, calm
for after weeks
months
the error lay hidden
all but forgotten for a time

then once again
again...
chaos reigned
she's always at war with it
consumed by it
and you watched her sway

she carried you once
across a wire
over so much snow and static
now only insticts rule
and so
it resonates
