I wrote this very quickly at work so I haven't really read over it.

    here it is
    ________________________________

Gather 'round friends and I'll sing ya a tale
'Bout a young man who set off to sail
    He disappeared October the tenth
If he returns nobody knows when

Well, Magnus Palm lived a tough life
Sixty kids yet never had a wife
He just wanted to be all alone
So he sailed the world leaving them at home

He saw the doctor who said, "Get engaged,
A wife, my friend, will cure your pain"
Took all his money down on the street
Begging every woman that he did meet

He worked all day in the factory
His wife was busy spending his money
His children were not allowed in school
Spent too much time breaking the rules

Found out later his wif was messing around
She was quite well known all over town
Soon after that he started drinking hard
Spending his days in the back of the bar

He's benn caught one too many times
    Driving over them highway lines
The very next day they threw him in jail
That's the day he set off to sail

3 years gone by where could he have been
Will his family never see him again
Now that's the story of Magnus Palm
Sick of life so he left it all
    "I'm a thief, and I dig it"
