I wrote this when I was in New York not too long ago

Oh, the friends that I had in that old St. Cloud town
If they liked me I could not tell
After the day of graduation
I tipped my hat to all and bid farewell

Oh, the women I've loved throughout my lifetime
The one's who've loved me, zero to none
Though they'd last throughout the nighttime
When morning came they'd soon be gone

I crossed the country to that New York town
Where many men have gone before
Some of them would not last through the winter
Some even fell before the first storm

Bob Dylan, Bob Dylan, I wrote you this song
For you, Bob Neuwirth and Joan Baez too
Your light's always burning and will never fade out
Just like the storm clouds than hang over you
"I'm a thief, and I dig it"
