cold,
shaking with exhausted memories
wind howls through your being
fatalistic murmurs of yesteryear
what you thought was solid
disintegrates upon contact
whistling lullabies with tepid hesitation
silence beckoning you back.... to the beginning
leftover rainbows basking into reflected light
whispered confessions lull me back for more
yearning for illusions of grandeur
wishes, desires, ultimate fantasy
conquered, yet healing day by day
reality is your new best friend
