memories fading, drifting away

your smell, your voice of another day

visions of grandeur escaped my touch

all those things I wanted and craved so much

the sadness mostly gone, left with confusion

close my eyes tightly and wish this was just an illusion

smiling now as I remember the past

always knew in my gut, that it could never last

silence with no answers have taken over your part

but never forget you're forever in my heart
I know someday you will have a beautiful Life

    nice, jason
    You ask me to enter
But then You make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
    To what You got
When all You've got is hurt
    ----
    Underneath this smile lies everything
All my hopes and anger, pride and shame

  • not only are your words great, but the choppy structure. the spaces between lines. perhaps symbolic of the "silence with no answers"??? well, even if the structure was an accident. i really do enjoy it. :)

    great job. :)
