stupid arguments

don't know why i'm posting this, i am not happy with it. Had a stupid argument and wrote this down, it was just fun seeing the transformation of anger and being mad to being sorry.
All is not autobiographical. Like she never told me anything like "I woke up and found it was only you" I just liked the line
anyway:
The wall was old and worn as he applied yet another coat
A wall they both had built and hated but on which both wrote
And everyday they would awake and try to scrub it away
A pointless effort as no matter how hard they tried
bits of the words would always remain.
So they had given up on scrubbing it
and took to painting over
The would sit back and marvel at their deed
But no matter, they still knew what was underneath
The echoes of a prvious life, of a time long past
Tales of burried pasts and hidden masks were all partly to blame
He said what is the purpose
Are we not destined to love?
She said I used to believe in love, that much is true
But then one day I woke up and found it was only you
By now the words had been painted over
in a lovely warm shade
But the images of that sketch on the wall forever would remain
They took turns writting, sometimes more than the other
They would even take turns painting over it, but deep down why bother?
Until one day they decided 'why should such a wall even exist?
After all it's the fact that we're so much alike we often get pissed'
Stubborness and defensivness is an easy enough problem to be fixed
We all know everyone thinks Argentina is just a whiney little bitch
So they looked at the other and each made their vow:
The past is just that, our time is in the now.
Many lives we have led just to lead us both here
There is no reason for our love to even know of fear'
and with that they grabbed a hammer and each started to strike
at the nasty wall which stood in the way of everything being right
The sun rose to greet a new day
The dust that had once been the wall had all blown away
They looked deep into the other's eyes and said
'I always hated that wall, it's being certainly would not do'
The rest was unspoken, something they always knew
No matter what is said in the midst of petty arguments I will always be in love with you

standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
eager to identify with
someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way
