I've watched you bang your head on the kitchen counter
Frustrated from being unable to brush your own teeth
I've watched you break down in a fit of tears
As your son must feed you your dinner
I've read the published reports
That give the stricken two to five years
Then, listened as you worry that in ten years from now
I may live too far away to visit as often as I do
I have trouble with the line between truth and hope
I can't imagine the fear that must envelop you on a daily basis


Mar 28/06

Constant chest pains
Raspy breathing rhythms
A will to live
Down to one feeble arm
Game will all be but over when it fails
A will to live
Depending on others
Has become a daily event
A will to live
You've changed your place in this world!

    it's good to get that stuff off your chest.

    that was hard to read. hard cause the images it gives are so.. they can be seen so clearly.

    even flow?, I love you! eMMI, I agree, it's good to get these things off your chest and boy-o-boy, they're really hard to read without welling up.

    I think those lines are the "heaviest" stuff I've read in a while.
