I shovelled the driveway
Just to see that it needed
To be done, once again
Alas, living in the north
I waved to my neighbours
Doing their seasonal chore
Where are the kids?
To cash in on the old folks
As the white gold falls
Singing Christmas songs in my head
The black of the driveway
Finally staying exposed
I retreat to the warmth of the house
Just as my boots are being removed
I hear the sound of.......
Well, we all know the sound
That god-damned snowplow
I put my boots back on
Grabbing the shovel as I exit the house
Down to the bottom of the driveway
You've changed your place in this world!

Gone, done, undone my work. ;) Snow falls in the south too.

Yes I hate when Mr. Plow comes by and does that to my clean driveway. What happened to the plows that had that little driveway protector that they would put down as they passed the houses.
