VEDHEAD27 motivated me to start posting my poetry/lyrics since I hadn't done it for over a year now.
Here is one I wrote last year. Enjoy!:)

You say distance kept us apart,
Who am I to argue with that
Who said love can grow from both directions,
Am I hopeless to think that?
Shadows begin to fall upon my wall,
As my realizations come to life
Thinking things, clarity with time,
Talking to myself,
Figuring out where I went wrong
She is NOT better than me,
They tell me,
She is here, and you are there
Ruined everything we had,
As it goes down the drain
If love is like this,
I don't want any part of it anymore
I am just a ploy,
As she is your world and my replacement
Good-bye to you

This poem is so real. I definitely feel it as if I was going through the very same thing. It's pretty heartbreaking, but the last line "good-bye to you" creates this hopeful feeling for me....closure, coming to terms with everything, being done with the pain, questioning etc.
Again, good work. I hope to see more from you around here as well.

Lydi, thank you, you know where I was at last year when that happened, my first ever break-up was really hard on me. I actually wrote the 1st half when i got the news, and 2nd half when I was coming to terms with everything. I guess that is why it felt that way :)Thanks for being that constant support for me ever since day 1:)
and Meredith, awww I am sorry if I made you cry at work:( and yes, there will be more heartbreaking poems, and some happy ones i think:/

Writing is by far the most theraputic and healthiest way of expressing/dealing with any sort of emotional pain.....be it breakup, loss of a loved one, etc etc
