Hummingbirds & dragonflies

Did you know
that every bird I see
reminds me of you
carrying the souls
of loved ones passed
they surround me everywhere I go

I know it's you
I always know it's you

The other day
a hummingbird stopped fluttering those rapid little wings
it came to me
pirched on a plant inches from where I sat
I was outside
writing a letter
to none other than you
I had never been this close to a hummingbird before
I haven't felt this close to you in years
Moments later another one arrived
together they danced around my head
celebrating everything in site
it almost frightened me how magical it was

Then, like the glowing night stars that also remind me,
you were gone
but only for a moment's time
to my surprise a giant dragonfly now danced around me
saying "hello"
letting me know

All these gifts you send me truely touch my heart

I know it's you

    So beautiful! I had Carolina Wrens hanging around my house all Winter they made me think of my Dad, he died Jan 6th. Then they made a nest in my window box and by my front door~It was wonderful to watch~great way to think of loved ones.

    Thanks guys. Thanks dear Ali. :) PJaddicted, that's beautiful. You know just what I'm talking about. It really does feel so magical. :) Being Enlightened, aww, thank you too. I'm glad it can spread some smiles. On this otherwise horrific , mournful day I am choosing to BUMP this beauty up and remember with smiles instead of sadness. :)
