I thought more people would come to the poetry section. I think it's great, but not many people come here. It gets boring just talking pearl jam all the time. Anyway if no one replies then i am correct, is place really is dead lol.

i completely agree...maybe everyone's scared of posting some poems or maybe no one is doing any writing these days (on account of the economy, terrorists, killer sharks, and kid-nappers), but i think i could be wrong or way off?
  • it's more interesting talking about ed in the hamptons,
    ed on a surfboard,ed with blonde hair,ed,ed,ed.........

just try and sidestep the tumbleweeds.
    your eyes make a circle,
I see you when I go in there.
  • Might not be popular, but I think it's great people can post their words and know, people are viewing this section for their words.

It takes a special person to share their thoughts and mind.

    I appreciate this.
  • I,for one,appreciate that you appreciate it.

see if you like this 1.

She's got an addiction but it's not chemical
    it's a 1 armed bandit,she's hooked on his looks.
on his dollar sign promises, his flashy allure.
The rush of silver and gold dreams that she
    drops in the beast's belly.
The turn of a tumbling barrel painted with
    potential and amusement.

her addiction is my pleasure because her
    addiction is mine.

I see you when I go in there.

this is my favorite part of the new board.

its the first place i visit. i for one am very happy that there is a place dedicated to sharing people's creativity.

its kind of intimidating though - most of the posts are so amazing that maybe some people are too shy to post along with them.

keep them coming! and btw arthur itis - i enjoyed what you posted above. :)
  • I hope this part of the board stays pure.

I don't want to see anything except that which belongs here.

I was ecstatic to see a poetry section here. and maybe I'm the only freak.. but I don't think so. I love pretty much everything I've read here. This is a big part of the color and depth that was missing from the old board.

I'm glad you all are here. And I agree with borisdisco... let's keep it as unscathed as possible. LOL I'm not sure that purity in and of itself is an option where poetry is concerned, but let's keep the hope alive.

I feel fortunate to be here with you all.

  • I love to write poetry.... but lately I just have a brain clog...

and usually when this happens, when I finally do write, it's awesome...

I didn't mean purity like that. I love the freedom of expression here.

I just want it to remain free of the nosense of the rest of the board.

For that matter, Balki, I was introduced to honey infused vodka the other night.. MAN i have to tell you it was... intoxicating. LOL no, no that's not the right word... oh yes: yummy.

BTW, Balki, I actually met the real Balki (mr. pinchot) in my Camera store. A very nice man.

Sigh, I shalt be fired today.. I am under suspension right now for a mistake that my manager made and is CYA'ing with ME. I suppose it's really all for the best, right?

    Right.

    seta.

ps... so when is that pool party?

I am glad to see the poetry board section as I will be writing some new poetry in the near future... I am visiting brother in California now ... when I return to KC I will share .. something .. stay tuned!!
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

olderman, I believe the term is "with baited breath I shall wait for thee..."

Bronson Pinchot and Mark Lynn Baker (Larry Appleton) are the most underrated duo in comedy...they never got their props....bastards!

Balki, I don't know about MOST underrated but I can certainly, and wholeheartedly, agree that they never ever got the kudos they deserved...

No.. no.. maybe you are right.. I can't think of anyone else who was as good as they were and yet never got any recognition...

Okay Balki! You win. hee hee

  • This is the first night that I've actually visited this section of the board...I actually got up the courage to share some of my own writing as well. What an amazing place! It does seem a bit dead though...I haven't gotten any replies yet. Maybe my words just can't compare to the other brilliance surrounding this place...That is the great thing though...there is no competition here...Just a wonderful place for the jammers to share their creative thoughts.

Maybe I just haven't been around enough lately... but I don't recognize you as frequenting this board and I'd like to ask that you please come around more often and share with us, A.I.! I really enjoyed what you wrote and would like to see more.

Speaking of not recognizing... I saw a lot of names replying to this thread who I've never seen around the poetry board normally! Come on, folks! Come on in and share away. As long as you're not sharing a "which EV hairdo is the best?" poll.

I have to admit that I'm happy that people come in here and read.

    It means a lot.

I do wish more would respond to the threads themselves but if they read, so be it.

a writer can never ask for more from anyone but themselves.

    at least in my mind.

I'd say that we have a seriously talented group of people here. When they're not so busy getting SPANKED.
