I look at my feet
I’m afraid to fall
Every dream is a gone defeat
I wake and wail
Reach for a hand that was never forgotten
But yet I forgot what was wanted
Then I wake

Sweat and now open eyes
Take of my clothes
It doesn’t help the way my blanket folds
I say a prayer to make it be gone
Then I look at my clock
Hoping the sun will be gold

When the gold comes
I manage then to open my eyes
Again afraid to fall
I look to my mom but she is gone
I hold my own hand and take a deep breath
Exhale only when I hear my own strength

I put on my clothes
Look around
Mindlessly unfocused to the ground
Get in my car adjust my hair
Cry on the way to work
i have to remain at top sassiness, even though my inner sass is struggling

  • I always cry on my way to WORK! :)

Be strong sassy schlitzwalker! Be strong! If you fall, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep on keeping on!

And sometimes, your own hand is the best hand to take because it's the only one you can trust to be strong enough for you.
Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in. - Leonard Cohen
