I tap my empty box of cigs with my lighter
Look at that plastic seat next to me
Avoiding eye contact
Never noticed the TV before
I need change for a ten please

Why won’t my lighter work
All right I got it
Everything is so unclear
I see there faces and I say hi
They give me a kiss on the cheek
Telling my I’m beautiful

That is when I reach for my next smoke
Ask for another beer
Taste the salt in my mouth
Don’t look at me here
Look at me now

See me tomorrow
All fresh and awake
Eyes half shut cause I’m in love
I’ll put on my fade
Laugh to yours
Enjoy the warmth for once
And pray for the next
i have to remain at top sassiness, even though my inner sass is struggling

i feel that way a lot. well, except for people telling me i'm beautiful... but i'm a lanky tall dude... that'd be weird. anyway, very nicely done.

thanks Kelly.. and, BTW, you are beautiful :)
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
