dude, yeah, i know.
they don't take it seriously.
not like you or i do.
we're dying over here.

talk all you want about desert heat,
and the isolation, the desolation,
and all that shit, like even maybe
a little purple flower springing through
the cracks of the parched and dying soil.
i'll tell you what,
what's going to sway this election
isn't any of that.
it isn't even the money.

what is it bro?
he says, stoned.
the smoke rolled out of his mouth,
and over his shoulder,
i realized we had a breeze.
he hands it back to me.

talk all you want about blood,
and deaths and soldiers dying,
for no good reason...
i KNOW there isn't a fucking reason.
there never was a reason.

you mean WMD's, bro?
and we both laughed at that one.

No, man. I'm talking about Life.
Being. Existence. You know,
the whole
to be or not to be shit.

i hear ya, man. it's cool.

He didn't hear me.
i wasn't even sure what i was getting at.

    i like it, windedsailor

and i agree... if anything, poetry is a submersion

just my incredibly ignorant opinion, but again, i'm not a student of the word, nor do i necessarily care to split hairs

your poems are above submersion, if that makes any sense.

i guess i may be a little overexuberent with the bump; i just can't ignore what's going on in the world...and i suppose none us of really do...besides... the next one is gonna be...good.
