urges, evil revised

It took me a while to get into evil urges, but once i did i loved it...except for the middle portion. I thought it had an absolutely stellar intro and finish, but the middle of the album was just mediocre to god awful. So after getting sick of throwing up in my mouth a bit listening to Look At You, i took out Thank you Too Through Look at You, and it makes a hufe difference.
Albums only 36 minutes long now, but its such a concise and effective statement it hardly matters. Oddly enough I'm amazed goes into aluminum park beautifully, which almost makes me feel like the middle of the album was added later. This could be my album of the year for me now, makes the entire experience so much better.
As a side note, i wouldve liked to keep librarian, but it just didnt seem to fit very well.

    That's not somthing you read about people doing very often, but I tried it this morning after reading your thread and I agree... Aluminum Park DOES carry on from I'm Amazed really well! :D

    I'm not going to listen to it like that very often as I do love songs like Look At You and Librarian but you've ertainly given me something to think about. Thanks! :)

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    While I think its a frickin beautiful album...I agree those are by far the weakest on the album. meh, They can't all be masterpieces right?

    only problem with the album is the fact that half of the songs sound like covers.........

    the other half is quite good.
