What a great band, their album is such a joy to listen to, and I only found out about them two years ago. I can't believe it took that long to discover them. Such a shame Andy had to pass they would have become huge, just think of all we missed out on.

Of course not all was lost, the demise of MLB gave birth to a certain band we all enjoy. So I suppose this is a happy ending?

Certainly few songs to have ever reached my ears affected me as much as Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns. It was my favourite song for years and even though I don't listen as much as I used to, and when I do the excitement isn't the same, I'll always love that song.

A bunch of their other stuff was great too, although some was a bit glam for my liking.

"and dreams like this must die..."
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

Agreed. The compilation Stardog Champion is awesome. So many great songs. I think they could have been famous. The could have had their own genres - Gram for grunge and glam.

  • Glam and Glitter or Grunge makes no mind to me. Mother Love Bone was a band with a destiny of greatness surpassing what they had already achieved. They were already an essential apart of the Seattle sound and rising movement. I have not heard any greater talent than Andy Wood that could do what he did. I miss his talents greatly.
  • i think if he would be still alive he would be huge ...so sad that he died so early ....
  • LOVE MLB :D
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
