Who needs Robert Plant? Apparently not the other surviving members of Led Zeppelin, who are ready to pull the trigger on a tour with a new singer if Plant refuses to join in. Sources tell Billboard the frontman first in line for the gig is Myles Kennedy, who has most recently led the rock outfit Alter Bridge.

There may be one unintended side effect should Kennedy bolt Alter Bridge, which has released an album each for Wind-Up and Universal. That band features the non-singing members of Creed, who split with frontman Scott Stapp in 2004. But sources indicate there would be big bucks in a Creed reunion tour and that the band may indeed rise again.

    As has been previously discussed, Myles Kennedy has a fucking exquisite voice, and would be able to do 70's Robert Plant better than Plant could himself these days, evidence:

    HOWEVER, as long as Robert Plant is still alive I think this would be pointless, and anything that leads to a Creed reformation must be discouraged.

    I can't believe there isn't outrage from the fans. It's the stupidest decision in Rock history. Robert Plant is one of the most recognizable voices, I don't think this will fly.

    There were so many threads about it!
    There is no Creed, now it's Alter Bridge, even it's not the best hard rock group - don't think about Myles Kennedy only as the vocalist of Alter Bridge (or like some of You said Creed-it's not the same).
    Why doesn't anybody ask why Robert Plant don't want to play with the rest of the band, instead of coursing Myles Kennedy?
    Poor Myles - He can be better that Chris Cornell ever was, but everyone seems to judge Him even BEFORE He sings with Led Zeppelin. So whta He should do to show His talent?

    When a journalist asked Mark Tremonti whether people could hold their breath for a Creed reunion, his reply was that they would die!
