MMJ Love

So I have a story to share that's neither interesting nor funny... enjoy lol
Going to see Pearl Jam 5-24-06 in Boston, my first PJ and it was completely amazing. As Im sure a great deal of you know My Morning Jacket opened for them that night (and the rest of the tour). Well I had got lost driving in and after I made it to the Garden and bought all the PJ merch I could I got to my seats just in time to hear them all say goodnight... I was bummed but didnt think much of it because I hadnt heard anything by them at the time.
Time passes and I become involved here posting and what not and read a lot of talk about these guys and stuff and since you dont hear them on the radio I was very curious and bought Evil Urges on a whim having never heard a single song on it. After listening to it a couple times...Im Amazed. (yeah, how lame was that huh?) anyways, its an awesome album and so different than anything Ive really every heard. I totally dig them and am going to get the live album and DVD (god willing I can find it ((yes I believe in god, sorry eddie))) Anyways totally bummed I missed them now back in 06, and of course didnt discover them in time to get decent tickets to the Bank Boston Pavilion show next saturday. But whatever. Im going to try and talk my Aunt into maybe going to the New Years show at MSG. All in all though, lets just talk some shit about how bad ass these guys are. Go.

There's a constant ringing in my ears

And I'm bored to tears.......
Cheers
anyways. i think that mmj and kings of leon both have the potential to be the "next" big band (in terms of how pearl jam ranks these days). definitely a great band though. unique and diverse sound as well.
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.
My Morning Jacket is the best thing to happen to american rock music in the 2000's, IMO. They are the most powerful rock band playing now. Their show is very psychedelic. Its like a combination of Neil Young and Crazy horse, The Band and Explosions In The Sky with Prince singing! Jim James sounds like Fergie and Jesus fused together. Do the right the thing this november and see The Jacket.

I think "Z" is their best studio album (Evil Urges hasn't really done anything for me yet... has its moments but... eh...) and "It Still Moves" is great, but the songs are MUCH better live (but what song isn't?)
I LOVE mmj... they will forever be in my top 5 bands at all times with PJ. I guess I'll be seeing you at the Bank of America Pavilion next saturday
