I agree, the Strokes are great. Their first album rules, but there are still plenty of great songs on the other two also. Last I heard they're going to get together in January and start tinkering with new material.

I am really excited for some new Strokes. Hopefully their fourth album will be better then KOLs

I beginning to worry whether it's the end for them. It's been so long and their website is updated, like um, never. If so I hope they don't get remembered as one of those "The____" bands (hives, vines, etc.) of the early 00's because I think they're so much more than that. I actually like Room on Fire (absolutely love Under Control) more than Is This It?, and there are some gems on First Impressions (though some duds as well).

  • They are definitely not over as a band, they jsut took a long break to pursue other things. I believe they just started playing together again, so I'm sure a new album will be out next year sometime

  • The Strokes have recorded their new album... They will tour in 09... probably not until summer though

  • Have you guys listened to any of Albert Hammond Jr's albums? They're pretty damn good.
If I could, think I would give in.

I love "Yours To Keep", didn't really get into the new one.
  • Como te Llama was a bit different, yeah... the second listen through was better than the first, so I'm assuming it'll get a little better each time.

I love KOL's new album, but to each their own. I thought the last Strokes album was sick! I am sure they won't disappoint when they finally do release it.

I love both bands. I've tried to get into Only By The Night, I like the first five songs and the last one but the rest are just not my thing. Maybe it'll grow on me. Has anyone heard Fab's new band Little Joy? I want to check them out too. I've heard some good things.

The Strokes are great! I really like all their albums.

KOL's last album is definitely weak. Just saw them in Chicago and Milwaukee and they played the same setlists both nights! The shows rocked, but I was disappointed they didn't change things up.
