We all have our demons...his got the best of him.

He left behind a great words and music...but also a young daughter and grieving family.

Soup was great forward progression...I would have loved to see where they would have gone next with Shannon.

Seriously though, the guy had a great voice and it's a shame he was lost so soon.

  • Blind Melon and Nico were great albums, Soup was really cool too. They may have been a one hit wonder, but their music was really something else.

  • I owned a copy of their self-titled debut album when I was in 8th grade, but never really listened to it closely. That and Soup are SUCH great albums, and have aged really well.

Personally, I think that both Shannon Hoon and Kurt Cobain's legacies greatly benefited from their untimely deaths. I mean, neither one made a bad album. Not even close.

Nirvana probably would have put out at least a few clunkers in the late 90's and early 00's, and Blind Melon very well could have too. I like the fact that everything both of them did was epic.

One of the best voices and lyrics of all time; Blind Melon and Soup are in the top 10 albums ever in my book. Has there ever been a better 1 2 album set in history?
