I just picked up tickets to go see them at the World Cafe Live on September 8th in Philadelphia...been a long time since these guys have been in the states...just wondering if anyone else was going to see them on this tour.

Saw them just after they released they're second album Performance and Cocktails, think they've gone downhill fast studio wise since the first album, but from what I hear they still bring it live and put on an awesome show, enjoy man.:)

Yeah I saw them in NYC a few years ago and I also saw them open for U2 they were amazing live

I've been seeing them in small venues in Los Angeles since performance/cocktails, however, the girlfriend and I saw them at Wembley Arena last November....such a different show...they are well suited to play arenas...too bad they have never had much success in the U.S.

agreed...when I saw them with U2 in Philadelphia they blew up the Wachovia Center and the crowd responded really well...I would've loved to see them make it here...its a shame

Loved the 1st 3 albums. 'Word Gets Around' still gets played from time to time.

Seen them live about 5 time, seeing them again in December. They always put on a great show. Saw Kelly Jones' solo set last year too. Really great low key even, playing stuff off his solo album.

They're well worth checking out.

A wonderful band. Incidentally they are huge Pearl jam fans. Their previous name was something that came from Mother Love Bone - can't remember what. Kelly and the Bass player(Stuart Jones I think) were at the Astoria.

Kelly tells an interesting story about getting kicked out of home by his mum cos she disagreed with his career choice of being a musician. She balled at him from the doorstep that if he wanted anything from the house that he'd better take it now cos he wasn't getting back in once he left. He ran back upstairs and picked up ten. I presume since his career has been a success they are on better terms.

He also claims that they were going to be the support on the PJ US tour a few years ago, but they were busy and Supergrass replaced them. I would have to have been pretty busy to turn down that offer, so I don;t know how much truth there is in it.

I'm going to be seeing them at the O2 Arena in London in December. It's my second time seeing them, and I am really happy that it's in an arena. They are meant for huge crowds. I can't wait! They are one of my favorite bands, hands down.

Their first two albums are excellent but after that they kinda changed. Having said that they were really good live when i saw them at T in the Park in July, they were one of the highlights.

Awesome show last night in Philly...10th time I've seen them and I gotta tell you..Kelly's voice is simply amazing, the band was tight and great song selection...all in all a great night!
