And if Pearl Jam isn't in it, what is your most played Pearl Jam song?
All my favourite singers have stolen all of my best lines.

    1. FFL - Foo Fighters
    2. The One - Foo Fighters
    3. Walking a line - Foo Fighters
    4. Skin and bones - Foo Fighters
    5. The Pretender - Foo Fighters

Hmmm, there's a pattern there, but can't put my finger on it.

And I haven't got a Pearl Jam track in my top 25 most played :S...unless Eddie Vedder - Hard sun counts?

Too funny, I just got a new computer so the play count has been updated:

    1. Steady As She Goes, The Raconteurs
    2. Broken Boy Soldier, the Raconteurs
    3. Hands, The Raconteurs

    First PJ:
I have to wait til it finishes to update the count... there:
    Down, from Lost Dogs.

The first three were played twice, the PJ song once :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

    DFA1979 - Romantic Rights
    BRMC - Shuffle Your Feet
    Eddie Vedder - Hard Sun
    Ben Harper - Better Way
    Pearl Jam - Grievance

Probably would be different I reformatted my Ipod cause it had an error, so it reset the play counts.
Also my roommates use it a lot too.

I looked at this a couple nights ago so i have to do it from memory. I think it is:

    1 Arcade Fire- Laika
2 Tv on the Radio- Starring at the Sun
    3 Mastodon- Blood & Thunder
    4 Wilco- Walken
    5 Dinosaur Jr- Sludgefest

most played pearl jam song was actually number 6 or 7 and it was Severed hand.

Now i wish this kept track of how much i've listened to songs since i started listenign ot music back in the early 90's i cna't imagine how many times some of my pearl jam songs ive listened to since then! I just started using Itunes about 3 or 4 years ago so newer albums trump a lot of the old stuff of course.

I'm jealous of kids growing up now who when they are my age might be able to look back and see how many times they listened to their fav artist :)

Don't have Itunes, so I'll go by my work's Windows Media Player counts from where I have ripped my favorite albums:
    1. Ben Folds Five - One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces
    2. Ben Folds Five - Battle of Who Could Care Less
3 (tie). Pearl Jam - Life Wasted
3 (tie). Pearl Jam - Worldwide Suicide
3 (tie). Pearl Jam - Animal

apparently I listen to a lot of Ben Folds Five and Pearl Jam at work since those two comprise a lot of the most played songs....

    1. (B) The Decade of Statues - Between the Buried and Me
    2. (A) Foam Born - Between the Buried and Me
    3. Prequel to the Sequel - BTBAM
    4. Informal Gluttony - BTBAM

It's like an 8 way tie. It's such an amazing album, not to mention those are more parts than they are separate song. It compiles to one hour long song. And I listen to it alot.

What, no Godspeed You!Black Emperor in your top 5? With as much as I've seen you extoll their virtues in the Other Music section, I would have figured at least one of their songs were in your top 5....

    Invisible Touch - Genesis

Hell yeah I listen to songs from a musical.. and quite often too! ;)

    Beirut - Gulag Orkestar
    Radiohead - 15 Step
    Beirut - Prenzlaurberg
    Radiohead - Nude
    Radiohead - Weird Fishes/Arpeggi

No PJ in the Top 25!!!!!!!! that's a little odd

It's worth nothing that I cleared my play count at the beginning of the year . . .

    1. Kathleen Edwards - Oil Man's War (19)
    2. Kathleen Edwards - The Cheapest Key (19)
    3. Kathleen Edwards - Alicia Ross (18)
    4. Drive-by Truckers - A Ghost to Most (17)
    5. Gillian Welch - Pass You By (17)

The following Pearl Jam songs are tied for most played at a whopping 2 plays each: Insignificance, American in Me, Gremmie Out of Control, Who You Are, Lukin, Life Wasted, World Wide Suicide, Parachutes, No Way. The odd selection (Gremmie?!?) is due to shuffled plays. Haven't been in much of a PJ mood lately, though it just so happens that I'm listening to the Pittsburgh 2006 Bootleg at this very moment.

Where the Streets Have No Name - U2 (539)
Morning Theft - Jeff Buckley (387)
    Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley (285)
    Hummer - Smashing Pumpkins (271)
All My Friends - LCD Soundsystem - (264)

    Pearl Jam songs:
    Black (213)
    Strangest Tribe (196)
    Sleight of Hand (173)
    Parting Ways (127)
    Immortality (104)

:D nah, I have 3 of their songs in my top 25 but really, with a band whose songs are generally 20+ minutes, racking up the plays isn't as easy as it is with others. Besides, I have worn out so many amazing bands by overlistening and I never want to do that with GY!BE. Having said that, I listened to Lift Yr Skinny Fists today for the first time in a few weeks and it's still the pinnacle of music in my opinion :)

Even more disappointing is that only 5 of the top 25 are hip-hop...

    1. Trapeze Swinger ~ Iron & Wine
    2. I Don't Wanna Grow Up ~ Petra Haden & Bill Frisell
    3. When the Angels Sing ~ Social Distortion
    4. Love Vigilantes ~ Iron & Wine
    5. My Sweet Annette ~ Drive By Truckers

Top PJ Song ~ Long Road (Merkinball version, naturally)

Interestingly enough, my Last.FM tracks are way different:

    1. Worldwide Suicide ~ PJ
    2. Trapeze Swinger ~ Iron & Wine
    3. Unemployable ~ PJ
    4. Last Kiss ~ PJ (Yes, I like this song! My kids and I sing along to it in the car all the time)
    5. I Am Mine ~ PJ

Kathleen Edwards (Back to Me) comes in at #6, soclose.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I'm surprised to see that not one of Kathleen's songs has reached my Last FM top 50 songs.

I find that I either get obsessed with a song, or an artist (sometimes both). With a song, the count goes up quick , but when you are listening to an album over and over, or randomly going through a artists catalog, the individual song counts don't move up nearly as fast.

So true. I'm an album (or full bootleg) girl most of the time. That explains how I listened to "Watch Me Fall" by Uncle Tupelo 26 times in the past year and a half despite the fact that it's not a favorite of mine!

I have only had my ipod since November so the play numbers are not that huge. Also I usually listen to it on shuffle.

    1. Not Ready To Make Nice - Dixie Chicks (9)
    2. Four Winds - Bright Eyes (8)
    3. The Arrival of Baby Harry - John Williams (8)
    4. Dead Poet's Society (Keating's Triumph) -Maurice Jarre (8)
    5. Shelter from the Storm - Bob Dylan (8) (listed as "Track 6" on my ipod.

No Ceiling is the closest PJ-related song with 6 plays.
Picture in a Frame from Bridge 10-21-06 is the closest PJ with the actual band with 5 plays.
Lukin is the closest actual PJ song with 4 plays.

I actually "unchecked" all PJ and Ed from my ipod because I was completely burned out on them since Ed's solo shows. I think I will end the blackout when I get the cd boots that I plan on ordering.

    1. Papercut Skin - The Matches
    2. New Years Day - Audrye Sessions
    3. Didi (My Doe, Part 2) - The Matches
    4. The Paper Face - Audrye Sessions
    5. The Crows Came In - Audrye Sessions

Hard Sun is 11th, while highest Pearl Jam is Man Of The Hour, which is 88th.

It seems that since I have had all the Pearl Jam stuff for years before I got Itunes I don't listen to it as much. The whole of Into The Wild is higher than PJ.
All my favourite singers have stolen all of my best lines.
