I highly recommend the little GEM called "MOON IMPROV" ( improvs 2000) which can be found here: http://www.f4kin-up.net/mp3.asp oops,,the link requires you to type in "MOON" in the box (not a direct link but the one word should get you there)

a very ZEPPISH sound and it is nearly a full song, why they never expanded this i will never know

if you have an unknown song you think is just the shit please recommend it.please also include
the address from which you can download it.

Found them because of my sister who saw them as opening band for a Quebec artist. Think it sounded good. Don't know if they are well known... Thought it sounded a little like Counting Crows...

the 22-20's....I think they recently broke up, but they put out a few EP's, a live CD, and then a studio album. Their music is very rock-and-roll/bluesy. I like them very much.

Caroline Herring is a terrific rootsy singer-songwriter from the South.

I'll second the Witchcraft recommendation. I saw them last December and they kicked ass. They play 70s-inspired hard rock. Pentagram is a noted influence.

"Gentle Giant," a progressive rock band from the 70's.
They've got a lot of experimental stuff but very good in my opinion.
"Octopus," "Free Hand," or "In A Glass House," are some good albums by them to check out.

they were so good... A couple of the guys went on to form Avado, another awesome Minnesota band. The singer, Zimmy is working with a new band also. Spoke to him the other day and he says the new stuff sounds like a cross between PJ and Faith No More. I'm pretty stoked for it!
