i just realized the raconteurs were playin in the city (NYC). They're playin in a good venue (terminal 5). They're playin backtobacktoback (fri, sat. sun). I managed to get tix for sunday. My question to you is, with the band only having 2 albums, the shows should be very similar for all 3 nights wouldn't ya think? there's only so much material they can cover. i'm sure the show will be great, i just found it funny that their playin the samre venue 3 nights in a row.

your thoughts on this would be appreciated

5/30, 6/01,6/02 @terminal 5 in the city. the new cd is great btw
  • I'm guessing the sets will be fairly similar each night.

If you look at the setlists from the 06 tour, they were more or less the same every night. Still worth going to at least 1 or 2 shows. they are great live. tickets may be tough to get though. I thought they were all sold out in NYC.
  • jack really tears it up thyough so he could change it, not tons but enough
Some people have religion I have Pearl Jam.

I was a bit dissapointed when I saw them at Roskilde '06....don't get me wrong but you could see, hear and feel that they were a "new" band.

    But I'm sure they've improved....have fun :)

I was planning to see them in NY but then I saw that with TM charges the tickets were almost $50. Just not in the budget right now. It's a shame because I really enjoyed the show the last time they were here.

They're playing the 9:30 Club in DC on May 28th, but the show is sold out.

yeah, I'm going to see them in Vegas closer to the ned of April. One of the main reasons I'm not seeing more shows is because they're so new, thus, not a lot of material to cover

  • I'm looking forward to seeing them at Bonnaroo. Didn't like the first album very much, but I bought the new one and liked it immediately. I've been wondering if they impress live.....anybody know where a good boot is?

Down in the hole, Jesus tries to crack a smile beneath another shovel load.
  • to see this band in their full element you need to see them a small venue

we saw them at a small rock club in nottingham UK(rock city) in 2006 and we were blown away....they only had 1 album's worth of material but mixed it up really well......pure musical genius....after seeing the White Stripes last year they are complety different show (obviously)...we have tickets to see them in liverpool and are so pumped up about it!

    leeds 26/08/06....electric
    paris 11/09/06.....crushed...but estatic
    wembley 18/06/07.....oh yes
