NIN Nashville 10.31.08

First NIN show I ever attended and I must say, lots of energy from the band. There never seemed to be a break between songs, except for the break before the encore.

I was disappointed when I first sat in my "best available" seat in section 107 to the right of the stage. While I was close enough to see the members of Health, I had a huge lighting rig blocking my view. I tried to move to some of the empty seats at the end of the arena and the guy told me no, but I could go to the box office and they could reassign my seat. The staff at the arena were very helpful and got me seats with a much better view.

I had looked up set list before going so I knew they played pretty much the same songs at each stop. I see why though! The "show" aspect of the concert was awesome, second only to Pink Floyd imo.

At first I was disappointed at crowd size, but as long as it does not stop good bands from coming to Nashville I don't mind. I was astonished at people yelling after each line of Hurt though. It did not ruin it for me as I tend to get into the music when at concerts but it was noticeable.

All in all I would say the concert was all together awesome.

Here are the pics I took.

Posted this on NIN forum. If you have a chance to see NIN I would highly recommend it. It is a lot different than a PJ concert, very visual. The lights and tech stuff really adds to the music. I was worried the crowd might be a little to rowdy for me, but was presently surprised by how respectful everyone was. Definitely worth the price of admission.
