I saw these guys open for Kings Of Leon last Saturday at the Electric Factory, and I was BLOWN AWAY. I've never enjoyed an opening band as much as I enjoyed them. I wasn't at all familiar with their music going in, but I definitely recognized some of their songs and was extremely impressed by their performance. They are so raw and so energetic, and they have some really good songs.

I've been listening to their two albums since then and I gotta say it's really good stuff.

This is my favorite song right now, from their second album, Mission Control:

Anyone else here like them?

I think they're pretty damned good; forceful and I've been good at getting others to check them out and pretty much agree.

Have a read and see if you saw the same thing that I saw.

Very nice, exactly how I would put it, especially this:

Think southern rock that you actually don't mind constantly exploding out of the garage three houses down from you. You only wish that they'd invite you over for a beer and to jam a bit.

Do you write professoinally at all? EDIT: missed the magazine thing at the top of the page. Awesome.

yea, they were better, but i wouldnt say 1000x times. remember the singer for We Are Scientists said like "thanks..." or whatever after every song. but KOL definently was good. Have you been to any of their First Ave gigs? i missed them.

The Whigs were awesome in Toronto. Very cool. I had checked out their stuff on MySpace before the show, so I recognized Mission Control.

We Are Scientists were a very different show - good in a different way. They had be laughing my ass off during their set. I love a sarcastic and cheesy sense of humour! :)
