Plain Meanness:
The Sower and the Reaper by Plain Meanness may best be encapsulated as the soundtrack to the spaghetti Western Quentin Tarantino has yet to make. The concept album presents a tale of love, murder, and vengeance told through a deceptively simple narrative teeming with symbolism. Furthermore, all sides of the packaging morph into what appears to be a children’s book co-authored by Edgar Allen Poe and William Blake. The sound is a mixture of western swing, punk, jazz, and surf rock. Guest players on the album include alt-country heavyweight Max Johnston, who is best known for his work with Uncle Tupelo, Wilco and the Gourds, and the legendary Sun Studios recording artist and Rockabilly Hall of Fame member Sonny Burgess.

The only decent band from my small little town. I'm very good friends with the trumpet player...anyways, check em out. They even have a cd :)

The upbeat ones are a bit better, but I enjoy them all.
Just a sec of your time.
