i've been a wilco fan for a while now. got this album shortly after it's release. since then it's been one of, if not my least favorite wilco album. i'm glad i didn't give up on it. within the past two days it's become far and away my favorite from them. might even crack my top 20 of all time whatever that is. maybe i'm just giddy cause i finally just "got it" and i'm overreacting with my statements. but wow! brilliant. who else agrees? it is truely a work of art.

Love it, for so many reasons. Not the least of which is the fact that Nels Cline is THE MAN on this record.

My favorites are "Sky Blue Sky," "Impossible Germany," and "On and On and On," but what the hell, they're all good.

The only song I don't love is "Hate it Here"...mostly because I'm not a big fan of the lyrics on that one.

yes yes yes to the last post

everyone always cites hate it here as their favorite or at least one of them, but it doesn't do much for me. on and on and on & impossible germany & walken & side with the seeds are all great.

Not really a huge Wilco fan but I do like this song quite a bit. Favorites are Either Way, Impossible Germany, and On and On and On.

    great songs, brilliant album.
  • You Are My Face and Impossible Germany are two of the best songs they've written. I'm most impressed with the way the Sky Blue Sky songs translate live. To me, it's a lot like Pearl Jam's self titled in that sense.

Great album, hasn't gotten tired for me yet. Impossible Germany, as others have said, is a standout track. I've always thought Walken was one that the Jerry Garcia band could have played, it's got a great solo Jerry vibe to it.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Yes, Yes me too!!! I've been listening to this album lately and wondered why I wrote it off earlier. I finally gave in and bought the vinyl and man, that's made all the difference. Sky Blue Sky is now amongst my fav Wilco albums probably just a little behind Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

YHF could be one of my all time favorites

Hate it Here is great and I will defend it to my grave. Though I really enjoy some of the quieter songs on SBS, like Please Be Patient With Me which is just...awesome.

    You are My Face
    Side With Seeds
    Impossible Germany

I love how so many of the songs just kind of ease you into the song and then jam towards the end.

It is the ultimate sunday album. i just put it on and ease into my day. Great album but still not my fav by them though.
