Q-Tip - Renaissance

Check it out, his first real solo release in almost 10 years. Just got it today, after 1 listen, I'm impressed. His production is as good as ever, overall I'm thinking this is going to stay with me as a great album

    it's his first since amplified bc he's had three records shelved by record labels. his first, "kamaal the abstract" was a sound like nothing before...it made it to the promo stage, but then the label pulled the plug. i really dont care fr the songs on this record. next was "open" and "live at the renaissance," both of which included different versions of songs that made the new "renaissance" album, in addition to many others that are exclusive to each.

    ps - nothing like amplified..........and without knocking anyone for liking amplified...renaissance (as well as live at the renaissance and open) are exactly what tip should've been doing from the moment atcq parted ways.
