Start the day off right. One of my favorite songs of all time
"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."

    I will swallow poison
  • I didn't think good hiphop existed anymore. Not heard this guy but he sounds good. :)
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

Doesn't get much better than Talib. The good hip hop is still out there, it's just hiding just beneath the surface so you have to look a little harder for it than you used to

There's TONS of good hip-hop out there, just not in the charts like it used to be. I think the late 80s and early 90s is a really rare example of a time when a genre could be absolutely brilliant AND commercially viable.

Anyways, I've kind of gone off Talib. He's far from the best out there. He has great skills but poor choice in beats. Black Star is a killer album though.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
