Radiohead Best of hit the stores

EMI/Capitol released the first Radiohead Best of today (june 3). You can find it in a double cd or dvd edition.. what is your opinion about this? will you buy it? Just to notice, the band expressed their disagreement for this release

    As they should be against it. Greatest Hits are for casual fans- will probably just download it.

    I agree with Radiohead. Greatest Hits are a bad idea, especially for bands that take so much pride in the organisation of albums. Putting them into a Best of kinda takes the songs out of context.

    Rock bands like Radiohead, PJ, others make great albums not hit songs, I think that's what most Greatest Hits are for, artists/bands who usually have big singles.

    I didn't buy Rearviewmirror because I have alll the songs already. the 6 mixed tracks, I downloaded.

    yes but even if these songs are not hits they are great and it would be an easy way for fans to appreciate the band

    Actually, you're right about newbies.

    Example: An old classmate of mine played Soul Coughing in class. I asked who was that and he told me, then I went out to buy the Great Hits BUT love their music so much I bought all three of their CD's.
